I bought these items for £61.39 Paid on the nose as the auction ended. The seller has emailed me tonight saying it's madness to let them go at this price and will deposit £80 in my account. Im not really bothered about the parts i'm however bloody anoyed that this is totaly against the spirit of ebay. Ok he has sort of "compensated me" I still feel like giving him a negative feedback. Any opinions guys?

Can you still leave neutral feedback? Might be the way to go if you can. It is against the spirit (and the rules, really) of eBay and he should have stuck on a reserve or put a higher start price if he didn't want to let them go for less than a certain price.

You could have a look at what you can do through eBay in terms of items not delivered processes.

As you say, you've managed to make a few quid out of the experience though, so it's not the worst outcome. I don't think I'd be too hard on him.

If you won these items with a bid of £61.39 then that, plus postage is all you pay, end of story.
If the seller was wanting more he should have put a reserve price on the auction.
If he refuses to send you the goods you have no option but to report him to ebay.
Refuse to accept the refund and raise a complaint against him.
I have over 3600 +ve feedback and have been on ebay for some time now and what he is doing is totally wrong.

I would've just turned up on his doorstep to collect the stuff instead of getting into negotiations, you won it at that price fair and square! Thought it looked a bargain, sorry to hear he's mucked you around

My experience with ebay as an organiseation has been all pretty negative. So to save myself any grief and stress, Ive just negged him. I had a friend who had his account suspended for less

What a git! (I was bidding against you by the way - would have bid more but forgot the auction was finishing and was away with work!)

I know the stuff is difficult to get hold of and 'rare', but it isnt always that easy to sell for 'big' money as teh market is fairly limited too, so good luck to him if he wants to be like that!
