Gap in window scraper

All,
I got some outer scrapers for both windows from VW Heritage (part numbers 533-837-473 & 533-837-474). The problem is they aren't quite long enough and there is small gap at the bonnet end which will let water in. Anyone have a good idea on how to plug this gap to make it watertight? I was thinking black sealer but this will probably come loose with the action of the windows going up and down.

How strange, I replaced mine for the Storm from Big Boys Toys (same company), they needed cutting to the correct length! Night be worth a phone call to see if they can change them mate. I can't think of anything that would do the job except the correct length mouldings.

mine still has the factory ones, and they're a couple of mm short at each end. Any water that gets in is diverted by the inner membrane out of the car and to the drain holes in the door bottoms that sit outside the seal.
