The cold start on my 1.8 DX is playing up. was wondering if there were any significant side effects of removing
the cold start injector and all the wiring and blocking the hole with a blanking plate (other than needing some throttle on a cold morning to start).
i have driven the car with it unplugged and it was fine. However i have heard talk of the 5th injector being used to adjust the mixture, i which case its probably better off fixing it over deleting it. cheers, Tom

Re: Removing Cold Start?
The cold start injector does what it says on the tin - it operates for a period of approximately 8 to 10 seconds on cranking a cold engine.
It has no effect once the engine is warm.
