Right... my storm seems to have a problem with fanbelts... its eaten two since i bought it back in november... ive changed to a bigger bolt at the top of the altonator and put a spring washer on etc, but after a while it squeels again, however tight i get the two bolts... is this a common thing? Or something im missing??
I seem to get a bit of shake when i hit 70... or if i rev high an change if im pulling off quick... could this be engine mounts?? Meaning the altonator is shaking loose?? Never uaed to shake at 70... more past 80...
Any ideas/comment welcome!

Start your engine and have a look at the bottom pulley, sometimes they get bent making them wobble.
Do you have an oil leak?

make sure all the pulleys are running true and more or less in line with each other.
also, bear in mind that new belts (particularly cheaper ones) will stretch a bit and need tweeking tighter again.
is the alternator mounted on rubber bushes? (been a while since i've done one and i can't remember) they will eat belts if these bushes are shot. very common vauxhall problem
