Blocking oil switch

Post by DannyH »

right my oil leak def seems to be down to the oil switch :yup:

see:- http://sciroccoregisterforum.co.uk/carf ... f=9&t=7927

now the problem i have is that i'm waiting on one arriving and my MOT is tomorrow morning. :swoon:

if it doesn't arrive can i just block the hole in the sender with a tight screw and super glue and fit it as a temporary measure? :dunno:

my reasoning is it'll stop the oil coming out, my worry is that this might create other problems.

can i have your thoughts guys :good:

You might find that the oil light flashes and the warning buzzer sounds over 2000 rpm.
