Which bit doesn't go back in?

If it is just the panel, then you could swap that with the Golf one.

The Golf sunroof can be made to tilt by swapping the relevant bits from the Scirocco roof.

Good to see you on here. I came over last year in my LHD Mk 1, the Stonor Park weekend, when we had fun scanning a manual

yes i remember you....nice mk1!
just bought a flash red mk2 rocco injection....sunroof seal when i got it was not excistent and all jammed
around inside, bit the bullet and removed the whole assembly, anyway i took it all to bits to change the seal.
and after 5 hours and 8 attempts it wont go back in easliy and dont want to force it in.
Given up on that and have a sliding roof from a black mk2 golf in....just got to remove it and spray it red.
could not change the painted roof over as they have 4 holes not threaded on the red roof panel...
I dont really care if the sunroof never opens again...lol
