If I remember right a series of screws and disconnect the electrical bit again I did it on my mine and as you know I am "mechanicphob"

Get a grip Eammon , I know how to remove a wiper No seriously mate , the whole mechanism.

Take the wiper arm off, undo the big nut that surrounds the spindle, the mechanism is encased in a plastic cover and this pushed through the hole, then disconnect the electrical connector, really rather simple when you get into it.
