Right i got a little problem, the other day i decided to finally wire in a lights on buzzer rela, which i have managed to do, but during the installation i noticed that my interior light doesnt come on when the doors are open regardless of what position the switch is in, it does come on when its in the permanent position though so i know there is power and an earth.
Could someone point in a direction to check, its very frustrating. Cheers

Re: Interior Light
First of all, did it come on before you fitted the relay?
An indication of what you connected to where, would be useful, as without knowing how you have tried to wire it in, it is a bit impossible to guess what might be wrong.

Re: Interior Light
does it not come on when either door is opened? if it's only 1 door not working it'll be the switch
Re: Interior Light
I fitted the relay as per the instructions i posted in the buzzer post. That all works correctly. It didnt work prior to fitting either so im certain its nothing i have done all of the connections i have made have been done quite well and are very secure. It doesnt work on either door, initially i thought it might be something to do with the door switches but it cant be otherwise the relay wouldnt work. I did remove a non functioning alarm it was quite old and most of the cables had already been cut from it, so i cut the rest im wondering if the alarm could have been wired into the interior light somehow to register the door was open. I really dont know

Re: Interior Light
Some old alarm systems were wired to the interior light to trigger it when the doors were opened. I'd try checking the chopped wiring first.

Re: Interior Light
Ok looked into this a bit more and still non the wiser could someone tell me where the earth wires from the interior light actually go to cos it cant be the doors, cos the wires are a different thickness to the ones coming from the door pins
