gloopy yellow stuff?

Post by jamie190382 »

Hi all

Ok my auto gearbox was playing up. High revs and no power so I checked the ATF and it was bone dry. Apart from this yellow gloopy stuff on it. So I put about 2 litres of the ATF down the pipe and checked it then it was to the right level. Took her for a spin and she is running perfect but I went to check the level agail and it had turned into the yellow stuff. Is this normal?

Sounds to me like you have water mixed in with the oil... but I may be wrong.

hmmm how bad could that potentially be? What's the best thing to do if that is the case?

find where the water is getting in and stop it, then drain and refil with atf
