Dropped Door

Post by NiceOne »

Hi my drivers side door has dropped, im wondering what my options are to fix this i dont particularly want to have to go down the route of a new door because it would be hard to source because my paint code is LB7V which i believe is quite rare. Can you just replace the hinge or the pin

removing a hinge bolt and inserting a washer between the 2 halves will bring it back up to level, as there is no real adjustment provided. from memory it's the top hinge you need to do. you will need at least 1 assistant!

I think mine has gone beyond the point of just adding a washer, its wearing away the door strike pin, and has torn some of the door seal, is the hinge removable inside the door or is it welded in, if someone could tell me it would save me pulling my door card off and nosing around.
