MFA problem
Started the car up on friday night and the clock reset itself and is stuck on 00.19 also when the button on the end of the stalk is pressed nothing happens. The wash/wipers still work fine though. Also noticed that the coolant warning light came on whenever the accelerator was pressed. Any ideas?

Re: MFA problem
I have the same problem with the reset.
However with the MFA there are 2 things to try first.
1) Remove fuse 3 (I think) interior lights, mfa, stereo. Please note though, this will reset your clock and lose all your stereo pre-sets (stations etc).
2) Same thing but disconnecting the battery for a few mins
No 1 usually does the job though. Happy hunting

Re: MFA problem
Good stuff - keep the old one theres probably nothing wrong with it. Removing it for a few mins usually does the trick

Re: MFA problem
Its doing it again but this time the full beam led keeps going on and off. What would be causing this? Everything was fine until i changed the rocker cover gasket. Made sure the earth wires were fixed on well enough.

Re: MFA problem
rocker cover earth has got to be the most likely contender. try running another piece of wire along side it as a temp thing and see if it sorts itWhitescala89 wrote:Everything was fine until i changed the rocker cover gasket. Made sure the earth wires were fixed on well enough.

Re: MFA problem
Took the earth wires off and cleaned up the surfaces then replaced them. Now completely lost LCD display.

Re: MFA problem
So it's definitely an earth problem then
I'd be investigating that area further if you made it worse by doing summat. Sure you'll get it sorted.

Re: MFA problem
The wires are the ones that connect to the corner of the rocker cover via a little plate yeah?
Re: MFA problem
A flat braid that connects to the coil mounting bracket and a brown/white wire into the wiring loom.Whitescala89 wrote:The wires are the ones that connect to the corner of the rocker cover via a little plate yeah?
