Hi all
Would any rocco gt2 backbox fit my 91 GT2?
I've found one, the owner says its from a DX injection model.

Thanx

no... Foonzoozoo put on a pre 86? back box and it looks like a beach buggy type thing, but he had to use double rubbers jsut to get it to fit the car atall!

the DX one should though .. i think! ..what year is it?

Mine is a '91 GT2 with the EX engine. Mine is a single exhaust, while the one I've seen is twin, if that matters.
I've asked what year this exhaust is from, I'm waiting for a response.

Wasnt it only the 16v that had twin pipes? Could possibly be a mk 2 golf gti box which i dont think will fit a scirocco. Also wasnt there a difference between 1.6 and 1.8 models?

Getting the "right" one shouldn't be too hard... usual wrangling at motor factors is all that's required. Snag is the huge cost. (hence the early type one I fitted - brackets in the wrong place, but length OK - which was an :ebay: special) You can get universal mounts (that strap round the box or round the pipe) should you get something not quite right and want to avoid the welder. Don't ask me where I've seen them, but I'm sure I'm not making them up!
