GSF help needed!!

Post by daveyg »

So the new engine has arrived and is sat in the garage eagerly awaiting the weekend. Ive enlisted the help of a few mates and a crane etc. However i want to replace the engine and gearbox mounts but looking on GSF there are so many different ones im rather confused. Also want to do the cam belt at the same time but again looking at the Mark 3 Golf belts and tensioners the list is endless. Can anyopne point me in the right direction of the correct parts?

Obligatory pic of said ABF engine:

Cheers All

best bet for the timing belt kit would be to just ring them and ask for a kit for your particular engine. would help if you knew the registration of the donor car, but they should be able to find it from the engine code

assuming you've got both sets already, why not just change them once you've got it fitted and running?

Yeah no worries James, all the bits will be listed on my project thread, unfrotunately some welding has brought things grinding to a hlt for the last week but hoping this weekend there will be some progress
