Back on the road

Post by WayneMK1 »

At last she's on the road, a few more pics and lots of questions about where things are supposed to fit - it's so long since I took it apart!......

At the moment I'm trying to work out where the boot light switch is!-and the connections. and where those bits of card around the radiator fit, and how to fit the dash dash trays etc!

The colour was supposed to be K5Y silver blue - but looks like it doesn't have enough blue in it!

On my GLS there is not a boot light switch, the light comes on with the headlights and stays on, strange if you ask me.

I found that to get the cards around the rad that you have to take the bumper off to get to some of the screw, I'll try to post up some photos of where the screws are and how they fit in the next few days if any help.

I also have not yet fitted the under dash shelves so can't help with them yet.

As above, On my Gli, in what I always thought was a somewhat bizarre set-up, and appeared to be factory, there is no boot light switch. The boot light is on when the headlights/side lights are on, and off when they aren't.

It always seemed to be a complete waste of time to be honest, but thats how it was! The connections should be on the same bit of loom that runs up inside the C pillar for the heated rear windscreen etc. One is brown, and I cant remember the other colour, sorry!
