Thanks for the offer, I'll be in touch.

@Mr Funk: I agree. They didn't even bother making the steering wheel, dials or switchgear in red.

PS The only thing I would change is that yucky modern font numberplate. You are allowed the old style ones on pre-2001 cars. If you can find someone who'll make you one.

It came my way as a response to the wanted ad I put up on this very forum, for a perfect injected mk2. I think that's what I've ended up with.

I agree about the numberplate, I'm sure I'll be able to find someone to make a replacement in the right font. Just need to try to replicate the dealer's logos from the rear one...

Thanks, Russ, I already have the appropriate brochure - it came with the car.

Glad I got it tucked away safely before the rain turned up today! Time to exercise my GSF discount on some service items.

With ya on that one dude, hate it when tv or film set in 80s or 70s and cars have the newer style plates, Ashes to Ashes did it on nearly every car!

Don't think there's an age thing on them plates Rick, or if there is it's not enfoprced, at least 1 local dealer here is still making the older style plates on brand new cars!!!

What about nice aluminium reflective plates with plastic letters? Try a place framptons online for them. Might have bother getting the writing at bottom as have funny feeling new laws prohibit it unless have postcode or something like that

SO jealous of that interior. Yeah, where did you find that? Did it cost a fortune?
