Hottuning SS Manifold

Post by Funky Diver »

Might sound like an odd question (seeing as I just bought one anyways, lol) however, anyone car eto enlighten me as to how they connect to the rest of the zorst? A piccie would be nice too if you have one :D

btw, it was supposed to be £159.99 plus £12.50 off a dude on fleabay, however I offered and got it for £160 all in (so £147.50 for the manifold.

NOW I just hope it fits my 2E, lol.

I have one of these and when i got it it came with an adaptor that sleeves inside the center pipe. Its a sort of ball joint type fixing that connects to the manifold via 2 bolts. I can send a picture tomorrow if you pm me an email adress. (i cant work photobucket) Also just a small tip,if you are going to heat wrap it,do it while its off the car because its a ball ache once its on. Hope this helps.

That's perfect mate, thank you... and yes, I am going to wrap it... how much did you use in total (and what size obviously, lol)?

The reason I ask is because a mate of a mate is making an SS centre section for me so that I can stick in a Mk2 Goof back box (with some fettling underneath for mounting of course, provided it's gonna be doable. Hitting the Mk2 golf forums to beg steal borrow a knackered one seeing as I only need to use it as a template :yup:
