Which Oil should I Use?

Post by johnny778 »

With this being my first car of the older variety I was just wondering which oil to buy? Any advice please. Cheers Johnny.

can open, worms everywhere :hehe:

10w40 or 15w40 mineral is what was originally specified. more modern oils (semi or fully synthetic) are not required and are much more expensive. on a high mileage engine (200k+) i'd consider moving to something thicker such as 15W50 or 20W50

quantum or fuchs from euro/gsf is a popular choice

or try the main agent. they are surprisingly cheap for routine service bits
