How easy to change starter motor?

Post by johnny778 »

My starter motor is beginning to play up and I've sourced a replacement. My question is how much work and time does it take to get the parts changed over? Cheers Johnny

Should be a 15minute job as long as your bolts are not rusted to death.
Disconnect the battery, Undo the cables from the starter, undo the 2 bolts hold it to the gearbox and it should pop off.
You need to support the engine with a jack as these bolts also hold the front engine mount in place I think.
