
started as 1.6 gls with 62k one owner but no rust just dents (woman drivers



we first thing to go was the 4 speed to 5 storm gearbox and leathers from my storm tin worm got it

6 months down the road the 1.6 carb engine blow up

so out came 1.6 carb this was 1999
so then fitted the mk1 storm engine in a 1.6 gti on carbs then got a 1.8i mk2 engine so that when in with carbs then sold it on as then got a 1.8 kr engine which i then rebuild to 2008cc new head cams webber 45 dcoes etc
was runnig it for 2 years like that but it liked clutchs where a weak link trakdays and 1/4 mile

that the same time also fitted better anti roll bars
285mm front disc ebc pads
16v servo
vr6 master cylinder
mk3 16v rear brakes with mk2 golf stub axles
mk2 scirocco 16v hand brake cables
full bug pack bush set
full bug pack engine mounts kit
30mm lowering springs
custom body kit
bmw dash
mk2 gtx loom switchs etc
mk1 storm fuel tank
mk1 storm fuel pump set




then it come off the road for a rebuild to the car bodywork in 2004 and welding up the engine bay for the next engine a 1.8 g60 with mods


so out it come when this time was going 20vt
but jabbasport talked me in too a building a 16vt
so got a 1.8 kr With 170k on the clock fitted a turbo to see what would break

20psi blow the head and bottom end but boy do it go for 3 months
so need a rebuild this time i fitted audi s2 pistons to standard rods played with the 16v head for better air flow and injecter flow
remade the 16v inlet manifold to make it on the front
bigger exhaust end pipe
passat cable change gearbox sector box vr6 clucth green injectors
full remaped and running 278bhp at the wheels this take me 3 years

made the mk1 fly but 14 mpg and and no a wet road
this year a sold the 16vt setup as i would be running the mk1 as a daily driver and needed something that was better on fuel was back to a 20vt or the 150 pd engine
then a corrado g60 came up for £150 so it was g60 that when back in this year
i going to get the body work back up
