Bumper strip

Post by Whitescala89 »

Is it possible to remove the bumper strips for spraying? Or will i just need a lot of patience and some masking tape?

just pops out, wrap a screw driver in a cloth and gently ease out one of the ends to start it off.

It would be easier to take the bumper strips out and spray them but the only problem will be is when putting them back in. I was going to do the same so I bought some new ones and took them down to a bodyshop and they said when putting the strips back in it will crack the paint on them. So I have to say you will need to get the masking tape out, it took me about 40 mins to do both bumpers to mask them up.

I think i will mask them as i looked at an old bumper i had in my shed and they dont seem to come out very easily.
