Ok we have a mk 2 vw 1800 8v injection Scirocco Scala 1989 and it has electro windows.I would really like to know if this factory fitted or after market ? Hopefully some 1 can tell me on here ie, GT EXTRA ETC ? Many thanx.


G Beats.Been into MK 2 V.W Sciroccos since 98.Now on my fourth MK 2 Scirocco. R.I.P two MK 2 Scala DX Engine's.Sold GT 2. No longer have a mk 2 v.w Scirocco as it was stolen back in February 2020 .Or another one know have a 1980s BMW.

Could be either. They could also be a dealer-fit optional extra. If you had the original bill of sale that would provide the answer. It's possible you could work it out from the sticker that has all the vehicle details from its factory build - there should be one in the boot and one in the original service book if you have it. You'd need to decipher the codes.

all the codes on the sticker relate to the original spec of the vehicle. if you can find someone who can tell you what code means electric windows, then see if it is on your sticker...

They're not factory fit switches matey... was trying to find a piccie of factory switches to stick up for comparason...

Ok many than'x my mechanic in bristol here pg autos thought they were aftermarket as well many thanx was just doublie checking, funky driver would be good if you could get a pics or pic of the orignail switches.
