Aftermarket steering wheel horn button

Post by walkinginperu »

I've got an aftermarket wheel to fit to the rocco, and an Ektor steering wheel boss. The boss only has one wire coming from it to attach to the horn button, but the button has two contacts. Does anyone know if this will work or if I need a special horn button for one wire?

The wire you spea of should be the horn live wire, and the column used for the earth?

Least I think that's how mine's wired up, if you can wait til later in the week I'll double check.

i think mine came with an earth connector ring that bolted between the wheel and the boss. this had a spade connector on it to connect the earth to the horn push. i've also seen them where the spring clip that holds the push in place can be used as the earth connection
