Weber carb V Injection

Hi all

Can anyone tell me if fitting a webber carb to a 1.8 1992 GT2 will make it as quick as an injection model ?..I have been informed it will

You've been informed wrong.

The weber will only give you better throttle response compared to a Pooburg, but similar performance in terms of output.

Second that, the injection is different due to a slightly higher lift cam also (tell me if im wrong). If you changed the cam and the carb you may get a bit more power... saying that, i changed my carb, had the car set up on a rolling road and was up on power by 6hp.

I managed to get GTI levels of performance by fitting a weber DMTL, GTI cam and a good head port and polish. I also sorted out a good cold air induction.

lol. I've decided that 200 bhp out of the 1.8 16v on twin 45s isn't enough... :)

Used the original VW air box, some ducting to the front, K&N panel filter or you can use a cone filter at the front of the car in front of the rad.

Aaaaah, coool. I was looking at some volvo gubbins to direct mount ducting to the top of the Weber with a cone filter on it, but that works for me too :D
