It didnt sound good
Basically earlier i let my brother in law have a little drive in my scirocco but as he started it there was a loud pop from the engine as it started. It ran fine as always but just wondering what this was,
Re: It didnt sound good
An exploding rodent in the lower engine bizzle. Common fault.
Or maybe just back firing, either way if the engine is running nothing to worry about.

Its only done its a couple of times but still sounded worrying. As for the car it couldnt be running better at the minute so maybe i will just let it go.

Re: It didnt sound good
It's usually a build up of extra fuel in a cylinder or in the exhaust, maybe it misses a spark or something dumping the extra juice into the system.
I can do this to mine when rolling along, stall the car and keep the fuel pump running, then bump the car, gets massive flames out the back and a mega loud gunshot style bang!
I wouldn't worry dude, not whilst its still running nicely!
