Just gone to replace all the vac tubing on the rocco, and found that there is a little bit of fuel residing at the bottom of the air filter. How would this get there?
I believe the car is running a bit rich so could this cause the problems?
And how do i go about adjusting the fuel mix on a pierburg (to a reasonable level), i have a colortune if thats useable? Did a great job on the mini, but i have no idea which screws affect fuel mixture on a pierburg.

Are you sure it's fuel and not just water that's collected from the cam cover breather hose ? It's quite common to have a little bit of water build up after a while from condensation.
As for the co adjustment on a Pierburg , there's a small rubber bung in the top of the airfilter box, pop this out and it gives access to the adjusting screw.

Oh i see... stupidly didnt smell the stuff, just assumed it was petrol, and there was obviously a smell of petrol anyway as it was still attached to the carb. Cleaned it all out and she's running like a beauty now anyway, so all is good! :)
