Had a touch of the toyota's today...

Post by breezespeed »

Whilst overtaking a car today the throttle pedal stuck to the floor when i changed gear.

I managaed to lift it back up with my foot and bring the revs down but it's kept doing it all the way home.

Had a quick look at the end of the cable where it connects to the top of the pedal and the round bush type thing that sits in the hole with the cable running through it seems to be made of cheese and is crumbling away in my hand.

Is it possible to buy this part seperate to the cable or is the only fix a new cable?

Should be available from VW dude, think GPC sold them aswell at a few shows last year.

Change the throttle cable too mate, sounds like its on its last legs.

Definately available from the dealer, I fitted a new one to the Scala a couple of months back, along with a new cable!
