Rear brake lines
Having trouble getting a spanner in where the brake line and brake hose meet above the rear axle.Any tips? Please say I don't have to drop axle , which is looking likely but sounds a bit OTT just to do brake lines

You need a crows foot spanner.

You can just get a normal spanner in there, but I usually just drop the beam as that only takes a couple of minutes and makes the whole job much easier.

just google it ;) you need the one that is like a 6 sided ring spanner with a bit missing

that's the badger. iirc (it's been a while since i've done them) you can get a spanner on the front end and use the crow foot on an extension bar to get to the rear end.
well worth getting a set of split ring spanners (like a 6 sided spanner with a bit missing) to do brake lines with. much less likely to jump and round off the nut. then again, for removing them if they are going to be replaced, i usually just take the pipe off right net to the nut with a sharp cold chisel and use a socket. makes it tricky to get the nut off the pipe, but they're only 10p new and so not worth re-using

I've discovered that someone has had a go before me and rounded every single nut 
So I'm cutting the pipes and drilling out the nuts.A lot more work than I had intended.Still at least she will have new brakes from tip to toe.

chop the pipes off then have a go with either a 6 sided socket or a 12 sider that is a very tight fit (imperial size if you've got any) they *should* come off, and if they don't you haven't really lost owt. easier than drilling them off

Tried different sockets Nate but the nuts are like rusty polo mints.Have them drilled out now so almost done.The daily driver keeps taking bites outta my wallet but beginning to see the finish line.Thanks to everyone on the register for all thier advice
