Polyurethane Bushes

Right, polybushes.

I have them fitted on the front end and they made a BIG differrence, well they would, the old bushes were like overdone calamari and provided about as much support. Sooooooo, I'm looking at using them on the back too however some folks have said that they can make the car a bit noisy for not a lot of gain in response. Is this true? Better off sticking with the standard rubbers? Thoughts chaps :)

rear axle bushes worth doing if they are still original.

powerflex (purple ones via C&R ) or the autotech (usa, red and now available over here but cant remember uk distributor) in use across my cars and no noise to report.

I'd heard poly on rear was the done thing and FRONT was a matter of preference that many advise against. I'm going poly rear, new VAG rubber front (based on what I've read on various threads, not experience).

See I always heard it the other way around... poly on front for precision, but VAG Rubber on rear for cabin comfort.

meh, I'm going poly bushes all round anyways now, so not an issue.

What brand did you go for? Did you get a complete set? How much did they set you back?

err... now you're asking.

I went with the powerflex ones in the end as they are all available. But I'm buying them in dribs and drabs when the budget allows as I'm no where near needing them right away.

My needs are more long term build than need-em-right-now-immediately-or-the-cars-off-the-road.
