I seen a mk1 in UD today.and it had a early airbox.going down too where the washer bottle is,it made the bay look so much cleaner, less cluter...any idear how muck work itis to find-change this? any down fall to this set up?
this is what im looking for
this is what i got
S'cuse my ignorance... but aint the top photo a later injection engine and yours is a carb?
However, it's the exact(ish) same kinda thing I want to do with my Mk2 carb'd car.
Run the induction pipework forward to the same or similar point with a cone filter on it. It's just ataching it to the carb that is the current challenge. If I come up with something I'll post it up, but I aint in a hurry!
the car in the first pic is running a diesel engine, the closest factory airbox i can think of that would be close to fitting is a mk3 golf 1.4 airbox...i'll see if i can find pics...
do I really want a carb'd valver? answers on a postcard...
