VAG suspension spring paint marks - what do they mean?

Post by SCIROCCOSILBERFEDER »

Evening!

As per title, sorted all my springs and shocks out last weekend and I am sooo confused :hehe:

I have:

Rear springs with 1 yellow mark on 2 yellow marks on and even 3 yellow marks on

Front springs with 1 blue mark on 2 blue marks on and 3 blue marks on

Rear springs with 2 white marks on

Honest, I am not going mad!

How do they rate and what do thy mean? Vag lowered / stiffened?

Any guides out there?

With the paint marks you can work out what the partnumber was and whether
they are standard or heavyer (for bad roads) I have a table in which you can
trace your springs, but the text those tables is dutch or german.
I can scan and translate them but that will take some time
