Relay Layout - 89 GT

Post by Funky Diver »

OK, so I HAD to take all my relays out. Car keys had been stolen, so seemed like the best emergency option to hand at the time (other than taking dizzy HT lead off, lol... which in hind sight woulda been simpler  )

Anyways... I KNOW IU've ballsed up putting them back in, and haynes is about as useful as a paper beer can... anyone got a picture handy (or could take one please)? This is non urgent, car's not going to be going anywhere anytime real soon, but would be a handy "go and sort out the relays and trace out the earth fault on the rear wipers" when I have a spare 2 hours.

Cheers
Rich

See the thread about the lights on buzzer - post towards the end gives a link to diagram of fusebox and positon of relays. Bear in mind that it is for US cars so some of the items mentioned will not be applicable over here.

Yeah, I already have that page bookmarked. It's more the fuse numbers that correspond to the relevant slots. I must just be being a bit dense :help:

Thankyou for hte help though :music:

I had a look at mine and the numbers on the top of the relays are (using the linked diagram or Haynes for the layout):

Position 2 = double size relay (no number on mine)
Position 6 = 53
Position 7 = 15
Position 8 = 18
Position 10 = 19
Position 11 = 72
Position 12 = 21
Position 16 = 42
Position 18 = 57

This is from my 1.8i Scala. Any help?
