need help with dash clocks as no charge on battery

Post by booboo »

hi all im having a load of trouble with my gt2 rocco at the moment. i was replacing the speedo cable and as i went to remove the dash clocks, the blue ribbon stuff on the back right where the white wiring loom plug connects (rev counter side) ripped and broke. now i need to get this working as without that, the battery will not charge and im having to drive around with a booster pack allways pluged in lol
does anyone have some sort of diagram to tell me what each wire in the white plug goes to so that i can directly wire it up to the correct bit oof the dash pod asi am unable to locate a scirocco dash anywhere and a cant really afford one yet either.
car is a 1990 1.8 8v log book says its a gt. got no mfa thing on the wiper stalk or anything.

cheers guys

Hey booboo!

Where are you based?

May be able to help if local-ish!

Kind regards

as a temp repair to get you runnin while you fix this, connect the small blue wire on to a small bulb. a wing indicator repeater type or smaller. connect the other side of the bulb to battery +ve. this bulb will work as the battery light until you get it fixed properly, letting the battery charge as normal
