Just a quick question.
Does anyone know whether a KR 16v cylinder head will fit onto a dx block (and run)?
Just rattling ideas around in my head!
Cheers

Re: KR cylinder head compatibilty?
kr heads only really fit the 16v blocks...But i have read here and there when mounted on to a dx or some other 8v blocks
it's a good combo for a turbo conversion, as piston differ etc....Abit of work tho...

Yes, it lowers the compression ratio a fair bit I believe. Should be able to get it running though.

Re: KR cylinder head compatibilty?
When I looked into this I was told there where a few discrepancies between a few of the oil/coolant holes lining up and it might need a little bit of porting to get a good flow..I never got far enough to compare them so I can't confirm or deny this but it might be worthy checking on.

Pretty sure the head gaskets are the same so can't be far off.

It's a quick way to a forced induction engine (lowers the compression to about 8.5:1 I think. I think you need to get the pistons machined too.

Re: KR cylinder head compatibilty?
Thanks for all the advice - it's just that we had a spare KR head lying about the place and wondered what we could do with it!
