Hi
I bought my 91 GT2 a few months ago, with the guy who sold it to me saying 'it cuts out sometimes when you stop the car'. It was running pretty ok till last week, when the engine started to cut out while driving down a busy dual-carriageway. Now, it runs great when cold, but once the choke warms, it barely idles, and cuts out every time I stop at junctions/lights.
I've been reading stuff on the net, and have seen that the Waxstat maybe at fault. It's got the dreaded Pierburg 2E carb on it, and I don't really wanna swap to Weber if I can help it.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanx
Phil

Re: possible Carb problem
sounds like the choke is sticking on , i have my old pierburg 2e2 sat in my garage
my gt2 has now been sold to luke, i only changed the carb for a bit of extra oomph and make it a bit more revvy, it works fine
pm me if you need anything off it
