Vacuum system...

Post by andyneedham2 »

I was just wondering if anyone knows how the vac system is all linked up, via the dizzy etc. I have just changed to a weber carb and seem to have loads of random bits of vac pipe floating around my bay.

Cheers for any help.

Andy

Andy, IIRC all the vac hoses and green ball get ditched with the exception of 1 hose which goes from the dizzy vacuum advance unit to to one of the connections by the black and white non return valve in the hose between the intake manifold and the brake servo. The other connection by the NR valve gets blanked with a rubber cap in the weber kit.

Thanks for the reply. I will have a look when my fingers don't freeze upon impact with cold!
