I just wondered, Boy racers or reliving your youth?

We had a long running poll (of sorts) on the old forum and I think we calculated the average age to be around the 30/31 mark..

Good to see a new one started though good on ya Ash

Yeah, we did - I even did a spreadsheet and everything. I reckon the average averages out at around 30-ish, but oldies like me are bumping it up.

I'm also 40 and agree 100%. Never went away from Sciroccos, I'm just sustaining the obsession is all.

I'm 42, and have had 35 VW's (6 Sciroccos) and Audis.
Have a bit of time of my hands and as I always wanted a Havanna brown Storm!

I wish I could relive my youth!

44 year, 8 months and 7 Sciroccos. I saw the light when I grew out of my Mk1 Golf in 1985.............

I have now had my driving license longer than I had to wait all those years to try and get it! 18 +17

Pulled up along side some snotty nosed teenagers in a Corsa today mumbling under my breath realising i am twice there age and should ignore there irresponsible revving of engine

Oh and a 2.4L Accord estate is quicker than a 1.0L Corsa's

Age of 21 had a Golf as my first car and bought my Scirocco when I was 19 to use when the Golf gave up.

Well, I'm 30, I started off with Fords - MK1 XR2's, MK2 Escorts, MK3 Escorts Etc. Then I bought a K reg MK3 Cavalier SRi 130 as an insurance write off, I fixed it and got carried away, 13k later it was featured in Max Power and got me a part as an extra driving it in the Ali G movie!

Sold that for a ridiculous amount of cash when a boy racer fell in love with it and bought myself a Skyline

It was a 2.5 Turbo Nice motor!

Sold that, had kids and wanted something fun, retro and above all.................. cheap, so I bought myself a Scirocco GT and LOVING IT!

There was other cars a failed to mention but not many VW's TBH, the wife has always been into them though and had every Golf GTi apart from MK5.
