Help ?! Fitting Down Lighters above gear lever

Hi , i have a 1986 scirocco automatic, and at night it is impossible to see the gears im in, and when the GF drives she is forever leaving it in 2nd and not D, so i was thinking just above it on the dash below the radio etc fitting 2 or 3 similar green to the dash back lights LEDS that light up when the lights are on... anyone know how i will do this?

Where to buy the LEDS, LED surrounds, Connectors etc

How to wire it to rest of the loom

Maplins are usually good for things like that and they should be pretty cheap.

Find the wires that connect to the light in the heater controls area, i think its behind the ashtray and then connect your lights in parralel with it.

the lights on my P R N D 2 1 light up! You must have a fused bulb under there

and by the way, i'm so glad i'm not the only one with an auto... no fluffed gear changes to spoil our drives!

flipped up the surround today, and the bulb is gone, now WHERE to find one of these!

Try the dealer mate, it will be the right size!

local motor facors should do ya one for a quid, just make sure you get the right wattage. must admit though, it is mildly concerning that the bulb being gone is afecting your driving. looking at the gear stick is a driving test failure!

why don't you just fit a green LED there so itglows green and not white? I may do that myself!
