funny that, cos the guy selling it seems to think it's out of tax cos it's been in his garage for over a year!!!!

This means that it is currently on SORN, which also expires annually and has to be renewed... so the owner is probably telling the truth.

From memory, if a car is taxed then this section says something like "vehicle licence not due" instead.
