Copper washers for brakelines - Where to fit?
Re-doing my entire braking system. Got some goodridge hoses that came with some copper washers. Where are these washers for? Inbetween the goodridge hoses and solid pipes or hoses and caliper? Or should I be fitting these at every union connection?
Re: Copper washers for brakelines - Where to fit?
Caliper end... or they have been on every other car i've changed calipers on. if you look closely at the washers they should have small rings on them. you want 2 on each corner - so should have 8 in total if your doing 4 braided brake lines..
Should go Caliper, washer, Brake Line, washer, Banjo Bolt.
Like a Big Mac - but the copper washer is the meat..

Don't have banjo bolts on standard Scirocco brakes - so you don't need the washers.Chaps wrote:Caliper end...

The threaded ends of the Goodridge hoses should fit straight into the appropriate caliper or wheel cylinder.
