exhaust a bit too noisy!

Post by d_jay1 »

i'm thinking that i'm gonna have to swap the exhaust on the new rocco, as it's way too loud for me. it's a powerflow system mid and back box. does anyone know what box would need to be swapped out to quieten it down quite a bit? even better, does anyone fancy a swap!

99% of Powerflow backboxes start from the middle box tho mate, so you may need an over axel pipe too.

Double check obviously, but mine certainly does.

i see. i haven't had a proper gander underneath that close up as the car's only about 6 inches off the ground! need to raise it a bit too! i imagine it could be a single piece from the mid box. i'm gonna take it to a specialist exhaust place to have a gander i think.

Hi Dave,

I'd recommend the Jetex twin oval pipe exhaust, runs from the downpipe to the backbox.
I got one second hand from a guy on here, and it sounds great. Nice and quiet, unless you really put your foot down.

Can still buy them new on www.jetex.co.uk but quiet pricey.
Maybe someone wants to swap ?

You can get Jetex exhausts cheaper elsewhere... I found £225.53 inc. delivery.

Best place to buy Jetex is from them. As Ed says, around £200 mark. Mine was about 6 months ago.

might take it to my local powerflow place who can swap the back box for 140 quid to a quieter one. i can then flog the back box too.

to be honest, i'd happily swap it for a standard system for the time being too. redgt2 is selling a system for a tenner! not sure where he's based though..

I'm sure Powerflow can make their systems quieter or louder by cutting the boxes open and repacking them.

apparently not. i'd need to pay 140 quid for a quieter back box. i've looked and i can just swap out the back box for the standard one, they both connect at the same point.
