Living with a GTi

Had this car for almost three weeks now after picking it up from Craig (thank you, thank you, thank you), and i really do love it :yahoo: Best mk2 i've ever owned, hands down. Plan to keep it as stock and clean as possible whilst enjoying it as regular car (sharing duties with the Storm once on the road). It turns heads wherever it goes and can still catch out a bit of modern machinery on the b-road twists. Great fun.

The rolling resto began this week with the fitment of my best small spoiler from my spares to replace the old one that had seen better days and these arrived in the post the other day to make the parcel shelf work as it should:

thanks to eagle eyed 'XTRA for spotting them!

I've still to go over the car with a fine tooth comb to see what needs doing and give it a full service, valet and external polish and smarten up over the next few weeks, but for the mo its just a dream to own it :vcool:

I'm gonna want to take plenty of pics of that when you have it cleaned up Ant. It's going to be kinda unique in the register I think.

Hey Ant what engine does it have in is it the 1.6 or the 1.8 injection? If it has the 1.6 you can join me with the 1.6 GTI gang lol
