Hi people,

new to the site, which looks great!

question, would mk2 door locks with the handles fit a 1976 mk1?

also would the the boot lock and the ignition barrel with case fit?

at present dont have key for the doors or boot and the ignition barrel,case isnt even there!

ignition barrel should be fine fella.
As for the door handles and boot lock im not 100% sure.
You could tho remove the locks from the mk2 handles and install them in the mk1 handles. Very simple job. Check out the FAQ for more info

if you sent me the barrels from your door handles I could return to you a full set with genuine VW key.
that would be both door lock barrels, a genuine mk1 boot lock and the igniton barrel and shroud, if you are interested it would be around £40.

Mk2 handles do fit asfar as i know but the the boot lock is square. If you take the tumblers out of your bootlock you can reorder them to fit any key theres an faq about it somewhere on here.
