Bumper Trim Inserts

Post by RussGLAuto »

Evening gents,

Been a while - DIY / home / life taking up most of my time over Christmas & new year.

Anyway, thought I'd share this Ebay seller's bits n bobs as these caught my eye:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/185749167503?ha ... R46R6vrRYQ

My bumper chrome trim is very faded and resigned myself to no OEM spec supplier until now. Website is:

www.port84.de

Does various inserts for different trims, also a few other bits such as US spec 4 headlamps and Mk1 stuff too.

Ordered myself the chrome set, will send some pics of the install when I get back home in May..

Hi, do you have any instructions on removing the original trim, respraying a new bumper that came with no trim hoping to swap over but not obvious how to remove? Good to know the port84 site for a replacement if it doesn't go to plan. Any info appreciated! Thanks, John.

its a real pain but inside there are rubber moulding you have to force out part at a time
it will come out and if i can find the trim i removed from crusty i can put a photo of the clips
this add you can see the profile i mean, its easy to push in but a pain to remove
