I’ve recently done this conversion and did the steps above albeit with the instructions that came with the carb but I can’t get it running right and cannot figure out what’s going on! Any help appreciated.
When driving normally, it accelerates as you’d expect. if I put my foot down I can feel the second throttle flap open up because the car stops accelerating, like the mixture is wrong, then lift my foot off a bit and it picks up again when the 2nd throttle closes.
I’ve had it off and on again, checked for leaks on the flange, checked ignition advance, the fuel tank for crap, fuel flow, all seemed ok, also checked there’s fuel going down the second throttle and there is when it’s open.
Any ideas what else could cause this?

BIG AIR LEAKS
check the vac lines especially for timing are connected to the vacuum points on the manifold
if you pump the throttle a few times does the problem go away? if so could be a fuel pressure issue ie not enough getting to the carb and the reason a lot of people restrict the return pipe more when running a weber on the old mechanical fuel pump

I dont mind project cars but I HATE SANDING!!!
