Hi, I’ve recently started a top end refurb on my 1980 mk1 barn find. I thought i’d taken a photo of the vacuum lines before taking it all apart but it looks like I was mistaken!! As it happens the previous owner may have put it back on incorrectly anyway ( he’s done that a lot with other stuff) so can anyone help me out with a layout? The car is a 1600 GLS with a 2B2/2B5 carb KR engine. The layout shown on 7Zap.com doesn’t look right either!
TIA
Mike

Re: Vacuum lines layout
Which hoses are you struggling with?
I guess it’s a FR engine you have if it’s a the original 1.6 engine, I think the KR is a 16v engine?

Re: Vacuum lines layout
Hi, yes I meant the FR engine! Basically I need the routing of all of the vacuum lines throughout the engine bay. Carb, distributor, reservoir etc. I took lots of photos before removing it all before taking the head off. Now I can’t find any of them.
I have some wide angle pics of the engine bay, but not enough detail for all the vacuum lines.

I’m having problems getting tapatalk to work on this website so I can’t add any pictures…
There’s one of the hoses on the air box which I posted on the Mk1 Golf website.

If you PM me your email or mobile number for WhatsApp I can take some better pictures at the weekend and send them to you.
There’s also this website for some info but looking at the pictures they don’t seem to be the same as my car, but website useful for part numbers etc
