rocker cover gasket

hi guys, i have been on the forum for a while but had to re-register as i lost my details,lol

anyway, i need a gasket for my 88 carb scala and was quoted £33 from mill autos, does that sound about right for these, as i just bought one for my audi 80 that cost a fiver.

Have you checked dealer prices? I think they might be cheaper. I think the only thing to make sure of is that you get a cork one.

No - go to the dealer and get the new rubber one - they sell it as a kit and it's not expensive...

cork one at main dealers, £8, that'll do me. who would have thought a main dealer would be cheaper,lol

Don't forget the two rubber pieces as well - the half-moon shape at the gearbox end and the strip that goes over the camshaft end cap.

Why get a cork one when you can get a rubber one? Much better

maybe, but i live in cornwall so we are 10 years behind everyone else,lol. also there are only 2 dealers in the county so i cant be fussy.
