Finally getting round to re-burbishing the old girl...
Removed the rear axle and snap ...one of the studs giveway and there isn't a whole lot left..
Question is what next? Is there an easy fix or?

There once was a young sardine
Who upon seeing her first submarine
Got scared as she stared through the peep-hole
'Oh come come come,' said the sardines mum
'It's only a tin full of people!!'"

Re: Rear Axle Bolts
I'm sorry... what does burbushing involve? Sounds interesting.

Re: Rear Axle Bolts
Theres not really an easy fix for this bud. The only way to repair it properly, is to drill out the remaining stud, and then cut a hole in the side of the chassis where the snapped stud is. Then get a replacement bolt, slot it through the chassis into the hole where the broken stud was drilled out, and then weld the top of the bolt into the chassis so it cant turn. then weld up the hole in the chassis. You may be able to weld a section of threaded bar onto the remains of the old stud, but to be honest, thats not easy to do properly and wont be as strong as the other method.
Don't ask me....it was like that when i got here !
