Hi
I am reassembling the engine bay of my 1.6 Scirocco.
Would anyone know where I can get the ties used to secure the loom to the body.
I am also looking for photos of where the loom is routed in the engine bay especially inside the front panel.
Car has been apart for a long time :)
Thanks
David

I guess there are some differences by year and engine. Is yours carb or injection? I tried a few snaps under my bonnet, but black loom over black paint doesn't show up well!

Hi
The car is a 1986 1.6 Carb.
I have the routing sorted down as far as the passenger headlight.
How it is routed across the front panel is where I am caught, Not sure if it clips under the slam panel. or runs along the bottom of the crossmember.
Thanks
David

Not the easiest to decipher, but these photos may help - you'll see the main harness is attached to the rear edge of the lower front cross member, routed to the outside of the chassis legs both sides, with some of the smaller harness parts clipped above the left chassis leg:

Hi
Cheers for sending on the pics.
Can see how the loom is routed.
Appreciate you taking time for this
Must source some of the cable ties to dress in the loom,
These fit into the studs on the body,
Again Thanks for this

No problem at all - I had taken my Scirocco on a rare late evening spin, so naturally, I had to put my head under the bonnet to check all was ok! If you need a specific shot, let me know.
