Hello to you all. I recently bought a Pearl Green 1991 GTII . It was on Ebay last week so some of you probably saw it or know the car.
So far it seems solid with Fuel tank , fuel filler neck and rear mounts all fine. There are a few jobs to do as expected of which rebuilding the original 2e2 carb is the first as the auto choke is hanging out separated from the carb. There are electrical issues too of which one is no interior lights (checked door jam wiring and bulbs which are fine except for no boot light bulb.
This is my second Scirocco , my first was back in 1990/1991 when i owned a mint Mk1 GLi in blue (light blue)
I've been reading the forums and using the search facility so thank you so far for in-depth knowledge as it's helped me a lot. I will have some requirements for parts but I'm going to carry on searching for no on this forum just in case the fix('s) is/are out there.

Re: New Scirocco Owner
Hi Paul,
Welcome to the forum. I did see this on eBay, looked tidy, to find one with the original Pierburg carb is becoming a rarity these days. Try and keep it if you can. Lots of rebuild kits available. If you need a specialist, Google Bromyard VW.
