Yay, cable fitted and we're back on the road.
Slight moment of concern when I discovered the clips on the gearbox end had disappeared. Amazingly my local car parts had a set

Sorry for trawling another ancient post up from the depths, but I'm currently trying to track down a new clutch cable for a K-Jet myself and having no joy. Does anyone know of any currently available, or can VW dealers still get hold of them?
Mad that they're so hard to come by, particularly when they seem so prone to snapping due to bulkhead cheese wiring.
